Amit Kumar/Samastipur. Many varieties of Kachari are now available in the market. Now leave onion, potato and pulses and enjoy the taste of mushroom kachari. Rita Devi of Samastipur is making this. In Kotia village of Tajpur block of Samastipur district, a crowd of people gather to eat hot mushroom kachari. It is also beneficial for health. Rita Devi, who makes it, says that she produces mushrooms at home. Due to increased production, I thought why not make some items and sell them, which will be beneficial for health along with taste. Apart from setting up stalls in the village, she also feeds it to the people in the fair.
Shopkeeper Rita Devi says that she got the idea of doing this work from Jeevika. After which eight rooms of size 10×10 were prepared for the production of mushrooms. Mushrooms are produced in it. After production, the mushrooms are cleaned thoroughly in hot water. Then turmeric powder, cumin powder, fenugreek powder, mangrela powder, garam masala, onion, ginger and garlic are mixed in gram flour. Then the mushrooms are dipped in that solution and filtered in hot oil. Then it is taken out and served with three different chutneys. I sell prepared pakodas at a stall in Kothiya village.
Fair committee also invites
Rita Devi says that when a fair is organized nearby, we are invited by the committee to set up a stall for Mushroom Kichri. The prepared Mushroom Kichri is so delicious to eat that even once people eat it, they never forget its taste. Don’t forget. Served with potatoes and amla chutney.
Income is better with taste
The trend of eating mushroom kachari is continuously increasing in Samastipur district. Shopkeeper Rita Kumari tells that 100-150 people easily eat this kachri every day. After setting up the stall in the fair, 300-400 people taste it every day. Talking about the price, it is given at Rs 30 per plate. If people get it packed for home, they are charged Rs 50.
